FREEDOM

Kelly Neff Speaks - Tuesday Treasures - FREEDOM 7-2-19

As the Fourth of July approaches, I thought I would brush up on the historical facts of our country. I did an online search and was struck by the words that I read on Wikipedia. I know this federal holiday commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States on July 4, 1776, but there was something I read that resonated deep within me that I could not ignore. “The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject to the monarch of Britain and were now united, free, and independent states.”

As we celebrate our freedom on the Fourth of July this year, let us also consider the state of our minds. Are we living our lives imprisoned by fear? Where fear rules there is no freedom. Fear speaks lies to influence our minds and subject us to its rule.

If you want to overcome fear and be free, you must declare your freedom. You must take your thoughts captive and speak words of truth, that you are no longer subject to the lies of fear.

You must declare your freedom and then live it!

Celebrate the freedom we have in this country on the Fourth, and may you also declare your freedom. May you speak words of truth and be set free to be who you were created to be. Remember, freedom is not free, it came with a great price.

May you have a blessed holiday!

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
